In this post, I’ll be sharing a list of 30+ sites to find royalty free images for your blog. Most of these sites offer images under Public Domain or Creative Commons Zero license. Some of these offer images under their own free license. You don’t have to worry about any legal issues while using images from these places.

With over 710,000 free stock photos, Pixabay is considered as one of the best sites for free high-quality images. All images on Pixabay are free under Creative Commons CCO. You can download, modify, distribute and use them for free. No attribution is required.
2. Unsplash
Unsplash offers high-resolution photos for free. All photos published on Unplash are licensed under Creative Commons Zero. This means you can do whatever you want with these images without any permission or attribution.
3. Pexels
Pexels helps millions of people all over to the world to create beautiful products and designs by providing free stock photos. All of the images are completely free under CC0 license. Currently it has over 10,000 free stock photos. And it adds 10 new high-quality photos daily.
4. StockSnap
StockSnap provides beautiful royalty free images. All photos are licensed under Creative Commons CCO license. It is made by Snappa team. They only select high-quality pictures and add new photos on a daily basis.
5. Morguefile
Morguefile is free photo archive which was founded by Michael Connors. All of the images found in the Morguefile are free for downloads and re-use.
6. Picjumbo
Picjumbo is free stock photo site for designers, bloggers and marketers. It was created by 22-year-old photographer Viktor Hanacek. It has almost three million image downloads. It also offers premium membership.
7. Shutterstock
Shutterstock is not free. But it has a huge collection of stock photos, royalty-free images, and vectors. It can be an excellent choice when you are planning to create premium contents. It has images for almost every kind of search.
As the name suggests, it offers royalty free photos for business, personal, and educational use. Every image is free. You can buy larger images with reasonable prices.
It has over 165,000 free pictures in its directory. It is the home of public domain pictures. All of the pictures are free for personal and commercial use.
10. Gratisography
Gratisography offers high-resolution pictures for your personal and commercial projects. All pictures are photographed by Ryan McGuire. Most of the pictures are about animals, nature, objects, people, urban, and whimsical.
11. Stockvault
Stockvault has hundreds of free stock photos and graphics. It’s the place where photographers, designers, and students can share their photographs with each other for free.

PhotoPin offers free photos to bloggers via Creative Commons to use them to their blog posts. It has millions of photos on its directory. It uses the Flickr API.

Life Of Pix is a free stock photos site. It offers free high-resolution photos with no copyrighy restrictions. All images are for personal and commercial use. And all images are donated to the public domain.

Kaboompics is a great place to find free pictures for personal or business projects. It has a huge collection of high-quality photos of bloggers, website owners, small businesses, freelancers, and social media ninjas.

Negative Space offers free stock photos which are released under CC0. You can use all of the images without any permission and attribution.

Magdeleine offers hand-picked free photos for your inspiration. Some of the pictures require attribution. So check the license type before using.

Rgbstock has more than 100,000 stock photos. All of them are 100% free. It is created by a group of enthusiastic photographers and graphic artists.

Freerange Stock provides high quality stock photos for commercial and non-commercial use for free. You can do almost everything with downloaded images except redistributing.
21. New Old Stock
New Old Stock has a vast collection of vintage photos from public archives. All of the photos are free from copyright restrictions. You can use these photos on your blog posts for free.
It offers vintage and modern stock photos for free. It has everything you need for your creative projects. All images are public domain images.

Picography offers free hi-resolution photos. All photos are free of charge and under the CC0 license. You can use photos however you like. But you can’t claim yourself as the author of the photo.
