Introducing WP Table Builder – The Drag & Drop WordPress Table Plugin!

Introducing WP Table Builder - The Drag & Drop WordPress Table Plugin! 1

Using tables is one of the best ways to show data in a comprehensive way. Tables make things easier to understand and engaging.

When it comes to adding tables in WordPress, you have two options.

You can use the default ‘Table’ block in the Gutenberg editor. But the problem, it’s very basic and it doesn’t allow you to create dynamic tables.

Another option is using a table plugin. There are some good table plugins out there. But most of them are not user-friendly and don’t offer true drag and drop functionality.

That’s why we decide to create a table plugin that is easy to use and allows you to create dynamic tables with a drag & drop builder. And you can insert the table anywhere by using a shortcode.

Introducing WP Table Builder

WP Table Builder is a Drag & Drop WordPress table plugin that allows you to create responsive and dynamic tables. You can create any type of tables by using the drag and drop interface.

We have been developing this plugin for over a year now. And finally, it’s ready to use. You can download the plugin from the WordPress repository.

The builder has 5 elements (Text, Image, Button, List, Star Rating) and more are coming. Each element has customization options. It has a cell management mode as well.

Getting Started With WP Table Builder

WP Table Builder is a free plugin. You can install it from your WordPress dashboard.

Just go Dashboard > Plugins > Add New and search for ‘WP Table Builder’.

As it’s a brand new plugin, it doesn’t show on the top of the list. Find ‘WP Table Builder’ and click on the ‘Install Now’ button. And activate the plugin.

Alternatively, you can download the plugin from here. And upload it to your WordPress site.

Just go to Dashboard > Plugins > Add New and click on ‘Upload Plugin’. Then choose the file from your desktop and click on ‘Install Now’.

That’s it. You are done.

Creating A New Table With WP Table Builder

Now it’s time to create the first table with WP Table Builder.

After activating the plugin, a new menu called ‘Table Builder’ will be added to your WordPress dashboard.

Just click on ‘Add New’ from ‘Table Builder’ menu.

A window will be popped up with a drag and drop interface.

At first, give a name to your table and select the number of columns and rows. BTW, you can add or remove columns/rows later.

Then you will see cells like this –

Then you can use drag and drop elements on the cells. (Watch the below video to understand how the drag and drop functionality works).

Once you’re done with building the table, click on ‘Save Table’ button. A shortcode will be popped up.

WP Table Builder offers some amazing features to help you build your desired tables in no time. The drag and drop interface makes it insanely easier.

Now let’s see some of the features of the plugin.

Currently, it has five elements. Each of the element comes with own customization options.

    Hello Istiak,

This is really a great plugin to create tables for your blog posts. There are many plugins available but managing them is not easy. After the Ultimate Blocks plugin, this is a great addition from you. Curious to know will this works with Gutenberg Editor?

    Regards,

Bohat Bharia (Good) post. I am new in the blogging field. Can you tell please which one is the best plugin to show Mobile Prices descriptions etc on a WordPress Blog Page? I want to have a separate page on my blog, where I want to show Mobile Prices and description updates so users can easily have access to check the market rates of mobile phone.
    Thank You

You can create such tables by using WP Table Builder. But if you want to show the price from another site like Amazon, then you’ll have to use a price comparison theme.
