Add more buttons to wordpress visual editor

WordPress Visual Editor has some decent buttons which are almost enough to create an amazing blog post. But if you want to change the Font size, Font family or background color of the text, you need to do it manually by using HTML.

It might be tough if you don’t have any HTML knowledge. Luckily, WordPress Visual Editor is TinyMCE – an open source WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) editor. Like everything, you can enhance it by using a plugin.

There is an awesome plugin named TinyMCE Advanced that allows you to add more buttons to WordPress Visual Editor. The amazing thing about the plugin is, it lets you add, remove and arrange the buttons that are shown on your Visual Editor.

You will be able to access a lot of features that are not available in default Visual Editor. Here are some noticeable features of the plugin:

  • Enabling TinyMCE menu.
  • Creating and editing tables.
  • Several options for listings.
  • Changing Font family and Font size.
  • Ability to search and replace in the editor.
  • And more.
